London & Hollywood SFX Company Appoints Fortune Cookie

Cinesite, a leader in state-of-the-art visual effects and digital imaging has appointed interactive agency Fortune Cookie to design and build its new website. 

With facilities in Hollywood and London, Cinesite provides a wide range of visual and physical effects, digital film mastering, digital film restoration, preservation, film scanning and laser recording. Cinesite is a Kodak subsidiary and part of the company's Entertainment Imaging division. 

Over the last 12 months Cinesite has produced effects for The Time Machine, Harry Potter, We Were Soldiers, Vanilla Sky, Mothman Prophecies, Band of Brothers, Spy Game and Training Day. They are currently creating effects for Die Another Day, X Men 2 and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. 

Cinesite's Helen Arnold said "Fortune Cookie's approach will enable us to communicate clear and relevant information to our many audiences, from film-makers to press and new recruits, as well as allow personnel in London and Hollywood to keep the site up-to-date with fresh information." 

The project will include the development of a content management solution 
using Macromedia Flash MX that will enable Cinesite to create animated Case Studies demonstrating their recent work. "We aim to create an epic, cinematic feel and dynamic case studies that provide visitors with a behind the scenes look at how Cinesite creates its special effects" said Fortune Cookie's Justin Cooke.
